Toll free spunk
Ever since I was a kid, I would hear and see the words toll free. I associated them with for-sale items and commercials that I see on TV. Toll free numbers remains popular up until now. In fact, most business advices I read in different books and other resources include the tip “Get a toll free number.” With a toll free number, customers have a way of calling you for free. Through this, you can easily get new customers, and more effectively attend to existing ones.
I knew that I had to get a toll free number for my customer service as well. At the start of my business, I got a local RingCentral number. This local number was used for all calls related to the pastry business, including business calls and customer service calls. However, when I set up branches, I decided to get two toll free numbers, with one for team, and the other exclusively for customer service. This way, we are able identify calls coming from business contacts and teammates, and those coming from prospective and present customers.
Since we switched to toll free, we have experienced better communications. It became much easier to talk to a teammate or to a business partner. At the same time, the toll free number dedicated to customer service has greatly helped us improve the way we deal with our customers. This single number connects to all of the branches. Depending on the location of the caller, the call would be transferred to the nearest branch where the call would be answered.
The toll free number has been a way for our customers to reach us wherever they are, at no cost to them. This is a very good investment for me, because I believe that good customer service translates to more profit. I want to let our customer know that we value them, so we would provide them ways to voice out their opinions and ask their questions through the toll free number.
